Sobo & Sobo Begins Annual Scholarship Contest for New York High School Grads
MIDDLETOWN, NY — September 19, 2022 – The Law Offices of Sobo & Sobo announced today that applications are now open for Sobo & Sobo’s Annual Scholarship Contest (2022-2023). This year, high school seniors in New York who are attending a two or four-year college after graduating in 2023 are invited to submit a 30 to 60 second video covering one of the following options:
- A commercial for Sobo & Sobo (a jingle/rap or song is optional).
- A video explaining how a personal injury has affected you or someone you know.
- A short film related to personal injury law.
The deadline for video submissions is 5:30PM on January 31, 2023. Three winners will then be picked in Spring, 2023 by a diverse panel of judges. Videos will be judged based on their creativity, uniqueness, and heart. Contest winners must use money received from the following awards towards college expenses:
- 1st Place: $3,000
- 2nd Place: $2,000
- 3rd Place: $1,000
College-bound high school graduates from the following New York areas are eligible to apply: Orange County, Dutchess County, Ulster County, Sullivan County, Rockland County, Manhattan, The Bronx, and Inwood/Washington Heights.
