Mr. Sobo graduated with academic honors from Colgate University, where he won several athletic awards as a championship NCAA Division I diver. To this day, Mr. Sobo still holds several pool records for springboard diving as he became one of the best divers in the country in his quest to compete in the 1996 Olympic Trials —a background that reflects the same drive and focus he brings to every legal case.  Mr. Sobo then graduated magna cum laude from the Syracuse University College of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Syracuse Law Review. As a published author in personal injury law, his academic writings have been cited by several prominent legal sources, including the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.

Mr. Sobo has won several notable trial verdicts and settlements, including high-profile cases. While many of the cases Mr. Sobo has won include significantly large sums of money, Mr. Sobo refrains from stating the actual amounts won on the firm’s website, in publications, or interviews because it has always been the philosophy of Sobo & Sobo that large sums of money won by clients should remain private, and that attorney advertising of money awards is not appropriate. Mr. Sobo has received national recognition for being the lead attorney in several high-profile lawsuits, including the 2017 Times Square Massacre where approximately 29 pedestrians were severely injured when a vehicle entered a large crowd in Manhattan.
